This forclosure home at 15461 Kentfield St. in Detroit needed little work and now has a new owner who will soon rent, an investor from the Chicago area named Kevin Holmes. The quaint brick home looks like it would belong any middle-income Midwestern neighborhood. But in distressed Detroit, the home sold for $6,900 - less than most cars and a semester at a University. While this was a great deal for the owner, its not for Detroit. These "giveaway-priced homes" are becoming more common in Detroit. Agents here say they get calls from prospective buyers all over the world wanting to see rock-bottom listings. Vacation in the real Orange County
Orange County hotels are not doing as well as last year according to PFK Consulting. June saw a rise in vacancies and a fall in room rates, yet 1 of 4 rooms have been left empty.
In the month of June, OC vacancies hit 25%. South County had the highest rate, 34.6%. Around the county, the average room price was $136.32 a night.
I have a proposition to all you Active Rainers, family, and friends...come visit Orange County! The rooms are affordable, the beaches are beautiful, the weather is perfect year round and we have a variety of activities to keep you busy! I'm warning you, you may never want to leave!
